Carl Everett Greeney, 69, 1100 E. Grigg Street, Marion died at Marion Memorial Hospital at 8:30 pm October 20, 1979. He was born in Dykersburg September 4, 1910 to the late Charles Fletcher and Emma Francis Culbreth. He was first married to Goldie Davis who died May 25, 1968. He then married Violet Lindsey in Marion November 19, 1974 and she survives. Other survivors include three sisters, Flora Forster, Marion, Nina Burns, Marion and Ellen Lind, West Lebanon IN and two brothers, James Artie of Marion and Randall William of Ceola IN. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Gurley.
Mr. Greeney was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Indian Camp Baptist Church, UMWA, VFW, Marion Eagles Club and the Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home with Rev. William Joplin officiating. Burial will be the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
