Topsfield.-- Richard F. Alexander, 83, husband of Dorothea Ordway (Strout) Alexander, died on Sunday night in a local nursing home.
Born in Medford on may 5, 1915, son of the late Clarence Norton Alexander and the late Alice Mabel (Follett)Alexander. He lived in Topsfield since 1959.
He was retired from the Bay State Gas Co. where he was assistant treasurer.

He leaves his wife, , two sons, Paul Alexander of Wakefield and R. Scott Alexander of Topsfield; a daughter, C. Jane Buckley of New Bedford, and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield.
