She accepted the Lord at an early age. She was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Washington, D.C. where she was very active. She attended the D.C. public schools where she graduated from Anacostia Senior High School with honors. She was employed by the U.S. Federal Government until she retired.

Peggy was the beloved daughter of the late Robert N. and Viola L. Neblett DeBose. She was a devoted and beloved mother to her two children; loving sister of the late Robert N. Jr.,and two siblings and one sister-in-law. She also leaves to mourn her passing, Godchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and many dear friends. The family received friends April 2 at First Baptist Church of Highland Park, 6801 Sheriff Road, Landover, MD 20785,
