New Berlin - Leta M. Magee, 95, of New Berlin died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1907, in Hettick, the daughter of Marti M. and Deborah Stratton Edwards. She married William Magee in 1925; he died in 1992.
Mrs. Magee was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the New Berlin and Waverly areas. She was a member of Gilead Baptist Church in Hettick.
Survivors: a son, Lyndal (wife, Brenda) Magee of Springfield; a daughter, Maxine Werries of New Berlin; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Edwards of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Nona Settles and Kathryn Bridges, both of Carlinville; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, McCullough-Delaney Funeral Home in New Berlin, the Rev. Robert Barth officiating. Burial: Waverly East Cemetery.
