Born in Williamson County to the late Neal and Mary Lee Roberson Beard. He was formerly a butcher at H.G. Hills.
Mr. Beard is survived by wife, Tennie T. Beard; son, William Nelson Beard; daughter, Shirley (James) Kolek; brothers, Raymond Beard, James Albert Beard and Bill Carter Beard; sisters, Mary Ann Tidwell, Estelle Spain and Faye Nalls; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, John House officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2011, 2-8 p.m. and two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Kolek, Ricky Tansil, Billy Jaco, William Tansil, Mike Dennington and Ronnie Sweeney.
