BATTS, HELEN ANNA (formerly Helen Anna Triplett), our beloved "Grandma Batts," passed Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by LeRoy M. Triplett and O. W. Mike Batts and great-great granddaughter Christina Norris. Helen was a former employee of Brown & Williamson, Stewarts Dry Goods and volunteered for Baptist East Hospital for over 25 years.

Mrs. Batts, our Grandma Batts, is survived by daughters, Jeri Cooper (Charlie) and Dee Taylor; grandchildren, Kitty Baumgart (Bob), Kim Bohannon (Gary), Kyle Pierce (David), Chuck Cooper, Karrie Messina (Joe), Chris Cooper, Tammy Fetzer (Scott) and Vicki Taylor. She leaves a legacy of 20 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. We will miss her love, her whimsy, her strength and her beautiful spirit.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, noon- 8 p.m.
