Sergeant Major James Eugene Norris, 92, passed away March 19, 2013. He retired from the U.S. Army. He was a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps instructor with the Memphis City Schools. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and an accomplished gunsmith. He was a founding member of the Memphis Gun Club. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Burnham; grandson, Sean Michael Burnham; step-sons, Jerry Higbee and Jeff Higbee. Services will be private. Memorial Park Funeral Home.
