Cleo was the daughter of Claude Carroll Linnell, Sr., of Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine and Ellen Mildred Storey Linnell of Wilsons Mills, Oxford County, Maine. Ellen and Claude were married on 09 March 1912 in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine. Ellen and Claude had seven children. They were: Eleanor Mildred Linnell was born on 03 May 1913; Eunice Merita Linnell was born on 16 April 1915; Elva Muriel Linnell was born on 13 May 1917; Cleo Carolyn Linnell was born on 07 February 1919; Robert Winslow Linnell was born on 19 December 1920; Claude Carroll Linnell was born on 31 August 1922; and Edna Burnice Linnell was born on 21 June 1925. All the children were born in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine.

Cleo married Lauren Ernest Bennett on 16 February 1939 in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine. Cleo and Lauren had four children. They were: Ronald Ernest Bennett was born on 08 May 1942; Maurice Wayne Bennett was born on 31 May 1944; Patricia Bennett was born on 13 June 1948; and Warren Bennett was born on 17 June 1954. All the children were born in Wilsons Mills, Oxford County, Maine.

She was born on 07 February 1919 in Magalloway, Maine, a daughter of Claude and Mildred (Storey) Linnell, Sr. Mrs. Bennett was graduated from the Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. She began working for Errol Restaurant as a pastry cook in 1972 after her husband, Lauren Bennett died. In 1981, she began working for Debbie Tillotson at The Balsams Gift Shop until her recent illness prevented her from returning to work. She was a past member of Aziscohos Grange and loved to tend to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed traveling with her son Warren and his wife Angel. She will be remembered for her love of family and her many friends. The family includes a son, Warren Bennett of Wilsons Mills, Maine; a daughter, Patricia Bennett of Colebrook; a brother, Claude Linnell Jr. of Fryeburg, Maine; a sister, Edna Williams of Stewartstown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband, Lauren died on March 8, 1972. Two sons, Maurice Bennett and Ronald Bennett also died previously.
