Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Open Door Church of God in Christ, with Superintendent Hubert Kelly, officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Hopkins was born July 1, 1919 in Ladonia, Texas. She had been a resident of Pampa for over 50 years. She was married to John Willis Hopkins for 50 years, and he preceded her in death in 2004. Earsell was a housekeeper for many years. She was a member of the Open Door Church of God in Christ. She loved playing the piano and singing, and working in the church.
Survivors include 4 grandchildren: Vicki Merriell, Reggie Merriell and Myra Merriell, all of Austin, and Steve Merriell of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Merriell; 4 sisters, Irene Givens, Gertie Lee Barber, Pair Lee Davis and Clarice Boyd; and 4 brothers, Maynard Boyd, N. D. Boyd, Jack Boyd and Wilmer Dell Boyd.

PAMPA — Earsell Hopkins, 93, of Pampa died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Open Door Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Hubert Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
