Born June 6, 1911 in Massachusetts, he lived in Bonita for 44 years. He was a physician for 50 years, with a private practice in Chula Vista.
He retired in 1961 as captain in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps and had served in World War II. He was also retired from San Diego County Department of Public Health. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and a graduate of Creighton University.
He is survived by sons, Stafford R. of Sunnyvale and Joseph C. of Templeton, and two grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Little Chapel of the Roses with interment at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
