DECATUR – Tammy Sanders-Miller, age 43, Decatur, died Sunday morning at Adams Memorial Hospital. Born in Muncie on March 28, 1968, she grew up in Albany and was a 1988 graduate of Delta High School. Tammy was Manager of the New Haven License Branch and had worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in numerous locations, including Albany, for a total of nearly 25 years. At one time she also enjoyed working at Pizza King in Albany. She took pleasure in reading, Facebook, and her family membership at the Farmland Conservation Club where she enjoyed shooting sports.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Jeff Miller; 2 sons: PFC Tyler Sanders, Afghanistan, his wife: Megan (James) Sanders, CO, and her son: Gabe James; also, Jake Miller who lives at home in Decatur; her mother: Faye Skeens (husband: Paul), Albany; a brother: Robert L. Sanders , Albany; a sister: Linda Zimmerman, Albany; a brother-in-law: Rex Miller (wife: Angie), Ft. Wayne; 3 nephews: Dakota Sanders, Ian Sanders, Todd Sanders; 2 nieces: Ericka Zimmerman and Morgan Miller; her father-in-law: Larry Miller (wife: Betty Warren), Springport, and her mother-in-law: Beryl Ballinger (husband: Daryl), New Haven.
She is preceded in death by her father, Wilson G. Sanders, Sr., a brother: Wilson G. Sanders, Jr., a brother-in-law: Chuck Zimmerman, and several aunts & uncles.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday September 2, 2011, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tammy was very loved by her family and a host of friends.
