Mrs. Sarah Coons Dunseth, widow of George W. Dunset, prominent Waverly farmer and pioneer seed corn grower, died at her home in Springfield Sunday morning, June 18, at 3:30 o'clock, following a long illness. She was 81 years, 2 months and 26 days of age, having been born March 22, 1858. She was the daughter of George M. and Mary Sturgis Coons, of near New Berlin, and was married to Mr. Dunseth on August 22, 1883.
Mr. and Mrs. Dunseth lived near or in Waverly until about 19 years ago, when they moved to Springfield, and she has lived in the family home in that city since Mr. Dunseth's death on December 19, 1931. Mrs. Dunseth was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church, of Springfield.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Converse and Mrs. A. J. Tribbel, of Springfield, and Mrs. Louis Howson, of Hinsdale; three sons, George M. and Charles E., of Waverly, and J. Roscoe, of Modesto; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Stice, of Jacksonville; and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the residence in Springfield Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. R. Cremeans, pastor of Westminster church, officiating.
Burial was in East cemetery, Waverly.
