CHARLES YOUNGCHILD

Charles E. Youngchild, 71, of 1309 Oriole Rd., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, September 20, 1987, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank will officiate and entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum.

Mr. Youngblood was born August 19, 1916, at Marshfield, Wisconsin, son of the late Edgar and Eva Brooks Youngchild. He grew up in Nekoosa and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, attending Manitowoc schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934.

Mr. Youngchild was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing in Two Rivers and The Manitowoc Company in Manitowoc retiring from The Manitowoc Company in 1978.

He married Verna I. Levenhagen, December 10, 1936, at Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Mr. Youngchild was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc and Golden K. Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc. He enjoyed photography for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Verna, two daughters, (private); two grand-children, (private); two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Norbert Vallenskey of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, and Marilyn and Frederick Zarn of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Elaine Youngchild of Manitowoc; a stepsister and her husband, Helen and Wilbert Woefel of rural Valders; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack [75138166].

Friends may call at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 10:30 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.

Memorials would be appreciated to First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc.
