Ralph Billy Hill passed away at his home Monday, March 25, 2013. He was 83.

He was born March 12, 1930, in Millington, to George and Loretta (Cimmerer) Hill. He married Dorothy Arnold on December 10, 1950, in Lawton, Okla. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1997, and is buried in Walters, Okla.

Ralph Hill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Ft. Sill, Okla., after serving more than 20 years. He retired as an SFC E7 and was always active in military affairs. He was the Undersheriff for Chamanchee County, Okla., and worked in numerous restaurants, retiring in 1971. Ralph enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, golf, playing solitaire and his two cats.

Children are Beverly Goodnight (Bill Gill) of Texas, Susan (Lonnie) Taylor of Walters, Okla., and Stephan R. (Suzy) Hill of Walters, Okla. He had four grandchildren: Mary Beam of Superior, Neb., Duane Earl Smith Jr., Erin Taylor of Walters, Okla., Sean Patrick Taylor of Seattle, Wash., and two great-grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by brothers, Lloyd (Norma) Hill of Falmouth, and Jean Polmounter of Lansing; in-laws, Ruth Davis of Canadian, Okla., Carolyn Hill of Goodrich, and stepdaughter, Dianna (Bill) Flynn of Kansas.

Ralph Hill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lauretta (Cimmerer) Hill; and siblings, Albert (Thelma) Hill, Laura Brunner and Paul Hill.

Services will be held at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home LLC on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, and one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Missaukee County Humane Society. Burial will be in the spring, and the date and time will be published, with the Cadillac Honor Guard conducting full military honors.
