Adele L. Withers (nee Alexander), age 64 of Fairborn, passed away Monday March 25, 2013. She was born October 7, 1948 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Cloyd "Alex" and Vera "Jane" (Van Horn) Alexander. Adele was retired from civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB, where she was employed in data processing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gerald; two children, Amy (Adam) Lovejoy of Fairborn, Christopher (Brenda) Withers of Waterford, PA; four grandchildren, Nicholas Lovejoy, Courtney Lovejoy, Cory Withers, Casey Withers; two sisters, Freda (Ken) Schafer of Medway, Carolyn (Garlett) Watts of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and special friend, Gloria Hall of Florida. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 28, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Friday March 29, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
