In 1976 graduated from the Helsinki Art Museum Meilahti building was originally made for the collection of Bäcksbacka. His collection is a number of Finnish art history of beads, such as Ellen Thesleff Thyra Elisabeth (1892) and Tyko Sallinen Mirri (1910).
