Born to Louis and Martha (nee-Tonkinson) Boozan on March 15, 1931 in Laplata, Missouri.
James was a graduate of Laplata High School. He was a retired telegrapher for Norfolk & Southern Rail Road. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Warrenton American Legion and the Golden Oldies Club. He was a charter member of the Optimist Club in Warrenton. He enjoyed pitching in the local softball leagues. James loved Notre Dame football and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball.
He is survived by his three children Daniel Boozan and wife Shelly of Atlanta, Georgia, Robin Miller and husband Larry of Warrenton, Missouri, Aimee Newburry and husband Don of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. James had four grandchildren Chelsea, Mackenzie, Elena and Charles Jameson, also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
