Bertha was married on August 21, 1959 to Ed Lawrence, the father of four sons; James Edward, Jerry Kenneth, David John, and Richard Allen. Ed and Bertha also adopted six children; Donna Jean, Charles Earl, Mary, Trevor Reed, Trent Russell, and Chrystal.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Charles Lee Goodwin and Curtis Goodwin; one son, James Edward Lawrence; and one grandson, Daniel Edward Wade.
Survivors include her husband, Ed, Mountain View, MO; children, Jerry Lawrence, and wife, Barbra, Lake Sherwood, MO, David Lawrence, Sunset Hills, MO, Richard Lawrence and wife, Antoinette "Sis", Jonesburg, MO, Donna Pinnell, Mountain View, Charles Lawrence, Warrenton, MO, Mary (Lawrence) Wright and husband, Dale, Jonesburg, MO, Trevor Lawrence, Mountain View, Trent Lawrence, O'Fallon, MO, and Chrystal Lawrence, Mountain View; one brother, Gene Goodwin and wife, Fern, Mountain View; four sisters, Pauline Woolsey, Vernal Mofield, Sue Sharp and husband, Lester, and Bonita Allen and husband, Raymond, all of Mountain View; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Bertha loved to quilt and make crafts.
