On August 22, 1941 Earl married Eva Campbell at Boyd, Oklahoma. Two children were born to this union: Earlena Faye and William Glen. The family moved many times following Earl's work. He worked as a Depot Agent for M.K.T., also a carpenter, plumber, farmer and cowboy.
Earl was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a western artist and a gunsmith. He enjoyed collecting guns and carpentry work.
Earl served in the United States Navy from September 1, 1944 to March 7, 1946. He obtained his highest rank as Seaman First Class. Awards Earl received while serving in the Navy include: The Victory Medal, The American Campaign medal, The European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. Earl was an outstanding artist and over his lifetime he received many art awards.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Eva Cramer, parents, John and Stella Cramer, step-mother, Lelia Cramer, brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Helen Cramer, Ray Cramer, Loyd and Mabel Cramer, Hershel and Geraldine Cramer and Ralph and Theda Cramer, great grandson, Shockey Thomas and several nieces and nephews.
