Rev. Kenneth Eugene Goodwin, 92 of Washington, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Parkview Manor in Wellman.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church in Washington with Pastor James Cluney and Pastor Gary Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 PM. Memorials in the name of Kenneth Goodwin may be designated to Hospice of Washington Co. or Parkview Manor in Wellman.

Kenneth was born April 20, 1915 in Rogers, Arkansas, the son of John Merric and Addie Mae (Creech) Goodwin. He was united in marriage to Opal Beatrice Moore September 12, 1935 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Kenneth was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Washington. He was part of four generations that have owned and operated Goodwin House Moving and was ordained as a Pastor in 1970. He served at First Assembly of God Churches in Farmington, Wilton and part-time at Keokuk. Kenneth served in the US Army during WW II in Germany. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and winter vacations in Arizona.

Survivors include his wife Opal of Washington; sons, Jerry Goodwin and wife Marilyn of Farmington, AR, Gearold Goodwin and wife Kathy of Washington, John Goodwin and wife Patsy of Peoria, AZ, Steven Goodwin and wife Ann of Mesa, AZ, Dan Goodwin and wife Lynn of Mesa, AZ and Mark Goodwin and wife Connie of Washington; daughter Connie Allender and husband Don of Washington; daughter in law Sarah Goodwin of Washington; brother Mel Goodwin and wife Naomi of Sun City, AZ; Sister Mary Lou Kauffman of Washington; twenty-three grandchildren, seventy-two great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ray, daughter Dorothy Jane, brother Glen, sisters Florene, Evelyn, Johnetta, Maurine and Lorene
