NOTE: A previous transcription of Hannah Potter's gravestone from the Pownal Historical Society is as follows:
"Mrs. Hannah Potter, wife of Shaderick. died Aug. 4. 1799. Age 34 years, 1 month and 5 days." An hour-long effort to locate and extract the top of this gravestone was unsuccessful, but a fragment was found giving one aspect of the date of death, "4th," and the larger section gives another aspect, "and 5 d[ays]" making it the likely gravestone of Hannah Potter.
