Virginia I. Kildow, 91, formerly of 148 Sycamore St., Tiffin, died at 12:10 a.m., Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.

She was born January 11, 1914, in Columbus, to the late William S. and Eva B. (Evans) Irwin. She married T. Monroe Kildow in Tiffin on July 31, 1940, and he died in 1988.

She was survived by a close friend, Florence Hopple of Tiffin, with whom she lived for the past 39 months.

An infant sister, Luann Irwin, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kildow graduated from Ohio State University with a Master's Degree. She was a retired school teacher and had taught two years in the Tiffin City Schools. She headed the art department at Heidelberg College for 39 years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.

Private graveside services were held on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin with Deacon Daniel Scherger officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Traunero Funeral Home, Tiffin.
