BOBBY R. PATRICK
PATRICK, BOBBY R. Bobby R. Patrick, age 77, of Sylvan Springs, formerly from Pleasant Grove, was born October 17, 1935, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 26, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff; parents Floy and Frank Patrick; brothers Jack and Billy, and sister Sara Isbell.
He loved his family dearly and is survived by his wife and only love, Carol Ganus Patrick, his loving son Barry and daughter-in-law Martha, grandchildren, Brandon Patrick, Kelsey Patrick, Alison (Josh) Ramsey, Chris Rockett; special nieces and nephews; two longtime friends Jack Vice and Jerry Jones; and countless others whom he loved.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pleasant where he was a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and a member of the Amazing Grays Choir.
Bobby graduated from Hueytown High School in 1954.
He was the former Mayor of Pleasant Grove for 12 years. During that time he served as the Utilities Superintendent and was President of the American Public Gas Association. He retired from U.S. Steel and was founder and owner of Patrick Insurance Agency.
The visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove. The funeral service will be Friday, March 29, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at the Church, with Dr. Davin Watkins and Rev. Harold Newberry officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.
