Katelyn Ann-May Norman, age 14, of Jacksboro passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the LaFollette Church of God. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev Ronnie Arnold officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bakers Forge Cemetery.Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of these arrangements.

Katelyn Ann-May Norman, 14, of Jacksboro, TN was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father Friday March 29th, 2013 at 8:23 AM. From the moment she entered this world, the journey of God's plan began. Katelyn was an active member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. She was very energetic and lived life to the fullest. Always a friend to everyone and a strong advocate against bullying. Some of Katelyn's interest and hobbies included: Music, especially Classical, arts, studying Geology and Oceanology, a comic collector, Star Wars admirer and loved banjo playing. Her favorite movie of all time was Tim Burton, "Corpse Bride." Artist was Vincent Van Gogh, "Starry Night." Katelyn was strong-willed with self-determination and a fighter all the way, a legend of her day.

The celebration of Katelyn's Life will be Monday April 1st, 2013 at LaFollette Church of God from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with the funeral to follow. Rev. Ronnie Arnold will be officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bakers Forge Cemetery.

Katelyn was preceded in death by great-grandparents Millard & Bertha Nelson, Nathan & Vannia Massengill, and R.T. Norman. She is survived by grandparents John & Genelle Hausser, Donald & Faye Nelson, and Paul Norman all of Jacksboro, TN. Parents Kelly & Erica Nelson; brothers Thomas Sowder and Luke Nelson; sister Lakien Nelson all of Jacksboro, TN. Brother Dylan McCall of South Carolina. Aunts Jennifer Norman and Brittany Hausser of Jacksboro, TN. Special cousin Leona Byrd of Lafollette, TN, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Katelyn's life was destined for a divine purpose in which she wanted awareness brought to childhood cancer. Her last wish to be fulfilled is the development of the Foundation of Katelyn Ann-May Norman Childhood Cancer Awareness; in which her memory will live forever. Live Like Kate!!!!
