Died at her home in Lebanon, Tuesday evening, June 16, 1903, at 8:35 o'clock, Emily D., the beloved wife of A. P. Adams and mother of Charles, James, Sarah, John, Ells and George Adams, aged 74 years. The deceased was born in Danville, Ky., November 23, 1829, her maiden name being Emily D. McCrady. She was married to A.P. Adams in Germantown, Ky., December 1845, where they resided until April 1851, when they moved to Carthage, Illinois.
There Mr. and Mrs. Adams made their home until March 1889 from whence they moved to Smith county, Kansas and have made Lebanon their place of abode since. Grandma Adams, as she was known by all, suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday, followed by another Tuesday morning, which was the immediate cause of her death. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church this (Thursday) morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G. H. Christenbury; interment in Price cemetery. The deceased leaves a large number of friends and acquaintances in Lebanon and surrounding country to mourn her untimely demise and to her grief stricken husband, and children.
The Times extends its most profound sympathy in this the hour of their sad affliction.
