Karen Jane Lange, 54, formerly of Waterbury, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at her residence in Torrington.

Karen was a special person. She was a sweet, kind, gentle, happy soul who lived her life with such joy that she touched everyone around her and made everyone's lives richer for knowing her.

Karen was born August 21, 1958 in Waterbury. She was a 1977 graduate of Crosby High School. Karen was the daughter of Betty (Sullivan) Lange of Waterbury and the late Robert E. Lange Sr.

Besides her mother, she is also survived by her sisters Judy R. Lange of Southington, Nancy L. Drouin of Lewes, DE, Wendy Blanchette of Bantam; her brothers David A Lange of Enfield, and Robert E Lange of Kensington, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her other special families at Pine in Torrington and Copper Valley in Cheshire.

Karen loved animals, babies and tending her plants.
