Rebecca A. Coates, 92, of Hodgenville, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a housewife and attended LaRue Baptist Church in Hodgenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Brewer DeSpain; her husband, Walter Coates; two sisters, Lillian Bell and Edith Bell; and two brothers, Lucian DeSpain and Edward DeSpain.
Survivors include a brother, Floyd DeSpain of Hodgenville. The funeral was Saturday, Dec. 2 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Thomas Freeman officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery.
