Mr. Newenham was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War for four years as a Russian linguist, and an Illinois Army National Guard veteran, serving for 10 years. He was an information technology executive for the state of Illinois for 32 years and worked for Sangamo Electric Co. for seven years.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks Lodge 158, where he was past exalted ruler and past district deputy grand exalted ruler.
Survivors: his wife and two daughters.
Services: Staab Funeral Home. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
