Visitation will be at noon, Saturday, March 23, 2013 with funeral service to follow, 1:00 PM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Edmonds Ward, 7960 – 228th St. SW, Edmonds, Washington, 98026. Bishop Dwaine Havens will be presiding. The family is having a private graveside ceremony.
Esther was born in Grace, Idaho to Robert Calvert Egbert and Sarah Jane Perry on January 26, 1924 and graduated from Grace High School. She married Robert Lee Morrell on May 23, 1946 in Ogden, Utah. She worked for the government supply depot, during WWII. Esther accomplished business college training, in Seattle, Washington and went on to work for Seattle School District No. 1, Scott's Realty Company. In her later years she shared her sewing & craft talents, while working for JoAnn Fabrics; retiring at 79, just a few months shy of her 20th anniversary. Esther accomplished making Porcelain dolls from the beginning stage of preparing the porcelain; cleaning, polishing, blushing and assembly of the dolls body. She hand-painted their faces & nails, finished their hair and made their complete outfits. One of her many joys was sewing for her children & grandchildren. She was known for her beautiful table runners, which she took such pride in making and enjoyed giving them to her friends & family. She was involved in the LDS Church, serving faithfully as Relief Society President, Counselor in the Stake Relief Society, and teacher in Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society. She defined what a lady is … because she was very much a lady.
Esther is survived by her daughters: Esther Ann Morrell Whitlock (Douglas Ross Whitlock), Marsha Ellen Morrell Faámuli, Jeanette Morrell Stock (Robert Adam Stock); her grandchildren: Robert Shawn Whitlock, Marla Ann Whitlock Izett (Bradley Steven Izett), Marsha Renee Whitlock, Sabra Jeanette Whitlock, Zane Taape Lee Faámuli; and her great-grandchildren: Cortney Ann Whitlock Galbraith (William Galbraith), James Lee Whitlock, Mykal Zen Whitlock and Shelby Tyler Izett.
