Immigrated from Norway in 1858; originally settled in Iowa County, Wisconsin.

Step-father of Clara;
Father of Emma, Oscar, Conrad & Dortine Edmunds.

Military service: 1863, He inlisted in the 31st Wisconsin Infantry and survived throughout the remainder of the Cival War, being discharged in July 1865. He participated in most of the great battles fought around Atlanta, Ga and marched with General Sherman.

Passed away at the home of his son, Severt Edmunds, in Cashton.
