Arthur Brooks , service manater at Marina Pontiac-Cadillac-Jeep for many years, died Thursday in a local hospital at agae 53.
A native of Santa Monica, he moved to Watsonville and graduated from Watsonville High School prior to serving in the Army in World War II. He then came to Santa Cruz and was the service manager for Thrash Motors and then Marina.
He is survived by his widow, Murial Brooks of Santa Cruz, two sons, Gerry Brooks of Sacramento and Gregory Brooks of Santa Cruz, several nephews and nieces.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at White's Chapel, 138 Walnut Ave., with the Rev. Walter Gourley of First United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
