Alma Elise Généreux, or Alice as she was known to the family, was the sixth of eight children and youngest daughter of Tiburce and Alma (Vaillancourt) Généreux. Like her sisters, she worked at her father's store before marrying Ovila Viens, a bricklayer and carpenter. They lived in fall river until the late 1930s, when Ovila found work at the Foxboro State Hospital as a maintenance man. Other than Henri, who died in infancy, Alice was the first of the Généreux children to die, of breast cancer in 1950. Her mother outlived her by one month.
Interestingly, she is buried with her husband's family, but he is not; he was buried in Foxboro at Saint Mary's Cemetery.
