Author and Feminist. She was best known as an outspoken critic of pornography, claiming it led to rape and other violence against women. In the early 1980s she drafted a proposal for a law that defined pornography as a civil right violation against women, and allowed women to sue producers and distributors for civil damages. The law was passed in Indianapolis but later overturned by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She wrote several books, including "Heartbreak: The Political Memior of a Feminist Militant" and "Scapegoat: The Jews, Israel, and Women's Liberation." She wrote three fiction books as well.
