Young Salesman Is Crushed Beneath Auto.

LeRoy Yoder, 19 year old tire salesman, employed by Western Avenue Tire Co., was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock as the car he was riding hurtled down an embankment near Hall's Cross Roads.
Yoder, who lived on South Leslie street, was riding in a car driven by D. C. Lawson of Walker street. J. W. Kenslow, only other witness to the wreck, told county officers that the car had leaped over a bank on the TVA freeway, turning over. The young salesman, apparently was crushed beneath the overturned car.
D. C. Lawson was admitted to Knoxville General Hospital with fractured ribs and collarbone; reported in fair condition last night.
Yoder is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Yoder; six sisters, Mrs. Willa Mae Brown, Mrs. Pearlee Hackney, Mrs. Louisa Evans and Misses Viola, Earnie Katherine and Mildred Juanita Yoder, and three brothers, Walter, Roscoe and Hubert, all of Knoxville.
