Mrs. A.J. Griffen, 92, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Friday at Manitowoc County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Gjerpen Cemetery.

Mrs. Griffen was born Sept. 13, 1875 in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late Halvar and Karen Madson Pederson.

She was a life member of the Faith church and an honorary member of the Womens Missionary Federation.

Her husband, a native of England, died in 1948.

Survivors are two son, Victor of Manitowoc and Edwin of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, four daughters, Mrs. Palmer Madson of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, Mrs. Joel Madson and Mrs. Irene Shier of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ray Mason Rt. 4, Manitowoc, two sisters, mrs. Albert Tostenson and Mrs. Oscar Halverson of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Four brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Sunday until Monday noon and at the church until time of services.
