He was born Oct 24, 1924 at Concordia, Cloud County, KS, the son of Berle and Myrtle Fincham Estes of Blue Rapids, KS. He grew to manhood in Blue Rapids, graduating from Blue Rapids High School in 1942. He was a member of Blue Rapids Masonic Lodge No. 169 and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a daughter, Rita Marie Estes.
Survivors were his wife of 51 years, Betty Mercier Estes; a son Rondell R. Estes; a brother, Ross O. Estes, Canon City, Colorado and a grandson.
