She was the mother of James Alfred Boggs (born 1862), Levant Boggs (b. approx. 1864 - not sure about the spelling of his name, it was taken from an 1870 census which is hard to read), Alice Boggs (b. approx. 1864) and Willie Boggs (born approx. 1876).
All the information I can find on her is that she was born 1838 in South Carolina. According to the 1870 census, they were living in Brevard, Transylvania, North Carolina, no father listed or marital status not indicated. So I'm not sure if she is widowed or they are living apart. All the children were born in North Carolina. Willie is not on the 1870 census.
According to the 1880 census, they were then living in Williamston, Anderson County, South Carolina, and Willie now shows up on the census, but Levant is missing. She is listed as a widow here. Since Willie is here, but not on the 1870 census, I'm assuming she was married in 1870 but husband was missing, showed up later, then passed away.
