Willie Faye Garrison McGee was born on May 6, 1913 in Argyle, TX to Mattie and Walter Garrison and passed on Monday, April 1, 2013. She married Leroy McGee on December 22, 1935 and was married for 66 years before his death in 2001.
Willie was a life long resident of Texas and a very active volunteer in Lewisville for many years. She helped start the first public library, was a charter member of the Modern Housewives Club, an active member of the Denton County Home Extension Club, and President of the Lewisville PTA from which she received one of the first Texas life memberships given in Lewisville. She was a member of the West Main Church of Christ for over 75 years.
Willie is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter. She had twelve grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and one great great grandson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Willie was a wonderful Christian woman and the rock of the McGee family. She was an inspiration to all she met and will be greatly missed by all.
