FREDERICK WILLIAM GRENFELL II

Born to Gardner P. Grenfell and Marion Louise Russell Grenfell in 1932; former longtime resident of Oakton, VA; he passed away on December 11, 2012 in Fairfax Hospital, VA; his residence was Warrenton, VA. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Dr. Frederick William Grenfell I.

Loving husband of 57 years of Eileen Frances (West) Grenfell; father of Frederick W. Grenfell, Jr., Oakton, VA; twin daughters, Elizabeth R. Chesson, Goochland, VA and Katherine L. Marshall, Marshall, VA; brother of Mary Louise "Mary Lou" (William Elbert) Borcherding (b. 8-23-1930), Fredericksburg, VA. Also survived by nine grandchildren and seven (now 8) great-grandchildren.

Mr. Grenfell served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the owner of the former Hunt Electric Company.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St., Warrenton, VA 20186. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1095, Warrenton, VA 20188.
