Thomas Bradley Kircher November 2, 1921-August 16, 2008 Tom Kircher passed away at his home in Benicia. He was the fifth of eight children born to Charles and Mary Agnes Bradley Kircher. After graduating from Tiburon Grammar School, he attended St. Joseph's Seminary before graduating from St. Ignatius High School. After graduating from the University of San Francisco in 1942, Tom served as an Army artillery officer. Following the war, Tom worked at Standard Brands and then at Spreckels Sugar. Tom married Rosemary Brown on July 16, 1949. They lived first in Mill Valley and then San Rafael where they raised six children. After Rosemary's death in 1977, Tom married Roselyn Hamilton. Upon retirement in 1985, Tom and Roselyn moved to Benicia, where Roselyn died in 2006 after 28 happy years together. He also was predeceased by his son, Mark, in 1995. Tom was an avid sailor, loyal baseball fan, and lover of classic movies and all kinds of books. He also loved to travel and would go anywhere he could on a boat or a train. Above all, he was dedicated to serving others, something his children cherish. He spent more than 15 years volunteering with Marin Handicapables and twenty-five years delivering Meals on Wheels in Benicia. He is survived by his children, Dick (Suzanne) of Houston, David of Petaluma, Tori Preston (Steve) of Gig Harbor, WA, Mary Roddy (Mark) of Seattle and Diane Bucher (John) of Healdsburg, grandchildren Brian and Brad Kircher, Kyle Kircher, Ben and Joe Preston, Garth, Emmeline and Melinda Roddy, Hannah and Tony Klisura, three great-grandchildren as well as five step-grandchildren, brothers John (Helen) and Phil and numerous nieces and nephews.
