Graveside funeral services for Candace D. "Candy" Edwards, 38, of Taft will be held at West Side District Cemetery Wednesday, April 11, a.m. Pastor Ernie Gilbert, of Calvary Baptist Church of Valley Acres, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cemetery. Born in Bakersfield March 15,1952, Edwards had been a Taft resident since 1963. She died April 8 in West Side District Hospital in Taft. She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Edwards of Taft; a son, Jimmy Dale Edwards of Arkansas a daughter, Norma Sampels of Arkansas; three brothers, Danny Rutherford of Bakersfield, Don Rutherford of Tupman, and David Rutherford of Taft; two sisters, Judith Casteel, and Kathy Mcdaniels, both of Taft; a granddaughter, Iva Dale Sampels of Arkansas; and her father, John Rutherford of Oildale. Those who wish may call at Taft Funeral Home until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, to pay their respects.
