PEMBROKE - - Mr. Hezzie Revels, 83, died at his home here Sunday after a long illness.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Island Grove Baptist church with burial in Preston Cemetery. Officiating ministers will be the Joe Anderson, the Rev.Isaiah Locklear and the Rev. C. M. Cummings.

Surviving are four sons, Norman, Fernie, Deas and Ander Revels, all of Pembroke; three daughters, Mrs. Bettie Cummings and Misses Matilda and Dorothy Revels, all of Pembroke; two brothers, Titus and Timothy of Pembroke; two sisters Mrs. L. M. Maynor of Rowland and Mrs. Maggie Locklear of Pembroke; 39 grandchildren; and 55 great grandchildren.
The body will be removed from Locklear & Sons Funeral Home to the residence at 4:30 .p.m. to remain until the hour of service.
