Mrs. Shafer was a legal secretary. A native of Iowa City, IA. Geraldine grew up in Marion, IA. She served in the US Navy during WWII. She married John Lugg in 1946 after divorcing him she married Robert Shafer in 1966. Geraldine enjoyed playing Bridge.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Bruna of Valley Springs, CA and Mary Lamb of Des Moines, IA; brother, Delmar Burns of Cedar Rapids, IA; and 4 grandchildren.
Private Funeral Services were held at San Andreas Memorial Chapel. .
