He graduated from Hartford City High School in 1950 and Indiana University in 1954, where he earned a business degree and rode in the first Little 500.
Don also served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Pilot from 1954-57.
Don retired from GMAC Dealer Finance Services in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was always active in his family's Hoosier Homestead Farm (owned by the same family for over 150 years) and at his passing was the co-owner of Willman Brothers Farm in Hartford City, IN.
Don was active in his Church as a long-time member and council member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He also attended Servants of Christ Lutheran Church.
Don is survived by his sons, Gregory C. (Karen) and Jeffrey A. (Carol) Willman; brother, George E. Willman; companion, Sharon Bird; and five grandchildren, Jackie, Kaylee, Adam, Beau and Drew.
Don's first wife, Darla Willman; second wife, Joanne Willman; brother, Earl Willman; and sister, Sara Willman, preceded him in death.
Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
