Arnold Leroy Johnson was the son of Roy Franklin Johnson and Ruth Wilhelmina Wassgren.

On December 31, 1941, at Fort Des Moines, Iowa, Arnold enlisted in the United States Army.

On December 31, 1949 Arnold married Elaine Lineback of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They were introduced through a friend of Arnold's. Arnold and Elaine lived in Iowa while he completed business school.

They moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas and their first daughter Jan was born in 1952. Daughter Nancy was born in 1956 and daughter Susan came along in 1959. During their residency
in Ft. Smith, Arnold worked for Dixie Cup in purchasing.

In 1961, the family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma where Arnold took a job as Director of Purchasing for St. Francis Hospital. Their fourth daughter Laura was born in 1964. Arnold worked long hours to provide for his family. He eventually became the Head of Materials Management at St. Francis. He retired from there in 1985.

Arnold was blessed with four grandchildren: Amy born in 1988, Andy born in 1989, Alex born in 1991 and Katelyn born in 1994. They were the light of his life.

During his retirement he and Elaine traveled extensively throughout the U.S. as well as abroad. He loved college sports, politics, but most of all he loved his family.

He was a quiet, gentle man with outstanding and character. He became a member of the Church of Christ in his later years and attended Brookside Church of Christ in Tulsa at the time of his passing.
