L. D "Dick" Carrington, 83, of Tifton, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 1994 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Albritton-Jones Funeral Chapel. Elder Charles Tyson and the Rev. John Gibbs Sr officiated. Burial followed at Oakridge cemetery.----
Born Jan. 26, 1912, in Washington, he was the son of Luther David Carrington and Nora Moon Carrington, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
He had lived in Tifton most of his life and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Griner Carrington of Tifton, one daughter and son in law, and one brother, Max of St. Augustine, Fl.
