Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Randall, for Max W. Ganz, 89, formerly of Route 1, who died Tuesday at Lutheran Senior Citizens Home. The Rev. Richard E. Bolling will officiate. Burial will be in Randall Cemetery.

Max Ganz was born July 20, 1898 in Swanville to Herman and Bertha (Schwandt) Ganz. He married Ernestine A. H. Beseman Nov. 8, 1919 in Swanville.

The couple lived and farmed in Burnhamville Township, Todd County and Darling Township, Morrison County until their retirement in 1970. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and had been a resident of Lutheran Senior Citizens Home since July 1986.

Survivors include sons and daughters: Irvin, Maple Plain; Edward, Dale and Mrs. John (Ernestine) Walters, McGrath; Elmer, Hudson, Wis.; Jorden, Colby, Wis.; Max, Jr. and Donald, Big fork, Mont.; William Verndale; Robert, Milaca; Roy, Little Falls; Mrs. Mildred Holte, Northwood, N. D.; Mrs. Esther Lollie, St. Petersburg, Fl.; Mrs. Betty Bittner, Princeton; Mrs. Richard (Ellen) McGuire, Waterville; Mrs. Conrad (Annette) Thomsen, Isle; 49 grandchildren; and 80 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, March 17, 1982; daughter, Mrs. Roy (Hilda) Kvarnlov; two brothers; and seven sisters.
