Rudolph Quante, 57, of R. 1, Valders, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc following a lingering illness.
A native of the Town of Meeme, he was born March 17, 1900, and married the former Eleanor Gnadt of St. Nazianz in 1924. Following their marriage, the couple moved to their present farm in the Town of Cato.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church at Clark Mills and also belonged to the Holy Name Society of the church.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Kabat of St. Nazianz; two brothers, Edwin of Medford, August of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Koeppen of Kiel, Mrs. Joseph Hoffmann of Sheboygan, Mrs. Rudy Christel of St. Nazianz, Miss Betty Quante of Waukegan, 111., and three grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Berge Funeral Home, Valders, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clark Mills. The Rev. Michael Fetko will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the fuenral home until the time of services. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. today.
