ROSE SCHMIDT
Mrs. Louis Schmidt, 48, of Valders, died this morning at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn,. Following a two weeks illness.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Mary's church, Clarks Mills, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. The body will be at the Berge funeral home, Valders.
Mrs. Schmidt, nee Rose Tienor, was born in Rockland in 1896 and in 1918 was married to Mr. Schmidt. They located on a farm in Cato and nine years ago moved to Valders.
Survivors are the husband; mother, Mrs. Julia Tienor of Cato; four daughters, Mrs. Jacob Schermetzler and Marie, of this city, Gertrude and Caroline of Valders; two sons, Edward of Valders, Private Jerome Schmidt at Camp Hood, Texas; three brothers, Peter and William of Reedsville, Frank of Cato; two step-brothers, Wenzel of Valders and Joseph of Reedsville; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Burish of Lena, Wis., Mrs. O.W. Oswald; of Kossuth and five grandchildren.
