Worth, Moore Field, Mission, Texas, and Majors Field, Greenville, Texas and at Cutter Field, Arizona, near Globe.
James was killed 23 July 1943 at Cutter Field, Arizona, where through special permit he came to visit his father. On take-off his plane stalled in flight and crashed back to earth in flames.
